Boutique Williamsburg building 172 North 10th Street has made its wood-flecked debut on the market.
Originally constructed in 1920 as residential space, the three-story structure had been used as a manufacturing site for many decades. The Meshberg Group restored the nearly century-old brick facade and reimagined the building as 14 new condos spread over five floors — the existing three stories, plus a two-story rooftop addition.
The residences range from studio to three-bedroom units, measuring 487 square feet to 2,316 square feet. Pricing for two-bedrooms starts at $1.49 million and pricing for three-bedrooms begins at $2.19 million, according to the official site.
The two available units are Unit 2B, a 1,227-square-foot two-bedroom asking $1.65 million, and Unit 3B, a 1,648-square-foot three-bedroom asking $2.22 million.
Whenever possible, the original wood columns and beams were restored, while several residences retain parts of the original brick walls. Interiors have solid wide plank white oak flooring, in-unit Miele washer/dryer and ceiling heights of 10 feet and taller. The open kitchens feature European cabinetry, Calacatta Gold marble countertops and backsplash, center island accented with reclaimed wood and appliances by Bertazzoni Pro and Miele. Each master bathroom is festooned with marble accents, large slab matte porcelain tiles and reclaimed wood vanity. Secondary baths have Refin IT wood plank floors and Kohler bathtubs.
The building is topped by two floor-through penthouses with private keyed elevator access and private outdoor space. The penthouse kitchens are fitted with wood cabinetry, nine-foot islands with Calacatta Gold counters and polished brass facade, six-burner Wolf cooktops, dual Wolf ovens, Sub-Zero refrigerators, freezers and wine coolers. The master bathrooms have double sink vanities with marble countertops and reclaimed wood fronts, Calacatta marble tiles and free-standing bathtubs. Renderings below:
