Airbnb has been getting a bad rap in the Big Apple. The sharing economy unicorn facing accusations that it manipulated data to conceal the fact that many users who rent their properties through the site are businesspeople with multiple properties listed, not mom and pop-types seeking extra income.
But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t tons of adorable Airbnb listings in NYC that will either make you want to visit — or at least upgrade your current apartment.

This one-bedroom is steps away from Downtown New York’s best shopping, but it’s greatest charm is its quirky, eclectic art ranging from a ceramic smoking rabbit to a surreal woman in pearls.
All-day sunrise on the Upper East Side, $90/night
This private room in an UES townhouse features a marble fireplace, large windows, sofa, lofted bed and workspace — and the walls are painted with a cheerful and unique yellow sunrise treatment.
Sunny loft in heart of Bushwick, $45/night
While this lofted room is petite, the price cannot be beat. Although it is a private room rather than a whole apartment, it is full of charm. An industrial-chic windowed wall provides plenty of light and if the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn doesn’t satisfy you, there are two cats to play with at the apartment.

Out-of-town travelers can feel right at home in this warm country chic 1 bedroom, just half a block from Central Park. Overstuffed furniture, natural wood, and plenty of greenery will make you forget you’re in the city that never sleeps.
