Peel Region’s much-anticipated light rail transit (LRT) project was officially approved last fall and crews are now preparing Hurontario Street for construction of the line. When completed in 2024, the Metrolinx-run LRT will span 18 kilometres along Hurontario Street from Port Credit in south Mississauga to Brampton’s Gateway Terminal in the north. The line includes a total of 19 stops and will provide connections to several GO stations, the Mississauga Transitway, and MiWay and Zum transit routes.
Like other major infrastructure projects, the LRT is anticipated to bring new development projects and increased density as more residents move into the area. If you want to live near the Mississauga LRT, scroll down to see seven new condominium projects along the route.
