At a new condo tower in Burnaby, heated balconies could provide an all-season solution for high-rise dwellers who want to enjoy more time outdoors and are tired of staring longingly at their inhospitable balcony space for a good chunk of the year.
In Concord Brentwood’s Hillside East phase, all condo units are equipped with an outdoor living space that is fitted with an inset radiant ceiling heater. In lieu of a traditional standing patio heater, these integrated ceiling radiators make it possible to enjoy year-round use of the balcony without taking up extra floor space, whether you want to sit outside and sip coffee in the fall or host barbecues in the early spring.
These balconies also include a handful of features that make them feel like an extension of the living space. Double floor-to-ceiling corner sliding doors are available in select units, which open up to create a smooth transition between the suite’s indoor and outdoor areas. In-ceiling LED lighting, soffit paneling and porcelain tile floors also help to add some stylish flair to the balconies.
Situated near Lougheed Highway and Delta Avenue, Concord Brentwood Hillside East is the second phase of this two-tower condo project developed by Concord Pacific. In addition to their own balconies, residents will be able to access the condo community’s variety of outdoor amenities, including a leisure park, terrace, children’s play area and an open lawn.
According to the latest data from BuzzBuzzHome, Concord Brentwood Phase Two – Hillside East broke ground during Fall 2019, and is expected to reach completion in the same period in 2022.
