Construction has officially begun at Edenshaw Developments’ Alba Condos.
Located at 1 Fairview Road East in downtown Mississauga, this 418-suite tower sets a new standard for the future of sustainable condo development. After a successful opening, Alba is officially sold out and is moving on to the building phase of its development.
Equipped with state-of-the-art geothermal heating and cooling systems, Alba will have the dual benefit of lower environmental impact at greater cost savings. For future residents, this means lower maintenance fees, greater resale value and a more reliable mechanical system.
In addition to being a step in the right direction for sustainable new builds, Alba’s location is guaranteed to be a major selling point. Set in a transit-rich neighbourhood near the future Hurontario LRT with convenient access to many local parks, restaurants, grocers and nature trails, this innovative condo community promises to be the embodiment of connected living.
“We are pleased to be commencing construction at Alba, which marks our first residential condominium development that integrates geothermal technology within the building systems,” said David McComb, president and CEO of Edenshaw Developments. “We are proud to be part of building a sustainable future for Mississauga.”
Designed in collaboration with award-winning architectural firm CORE Architects and renowned interior design firm Cecconi Simone, the 32-storey high-rise features many attractive amenities. Future residents can make use of Alba’s 20,000 square feet of amenities, including the co-working lounge, indoor and outdoor leisure space, children’s play areas, wellness centre and pet spa, in addition to the ‘Edenshaw Elevated’ Smart Home and Building features.
The units themselves are a testament to the artistry that Cecconi Simone has become so known for. The units at Alba boast clean, modern designs that have been carefully laid out to ensure a comfortable and optimized living experience. Luxury features include induction cooktops, integrated appliances and composite stone worktops.
Alba is only one small facet of Edenshaw Developments’ greater mission to create sustainable and elevated residential communities in the Greater Toronto Area. Founded in 2009 by McComb, Edenshaw prides itself on its ability to celebrate artistry and craftsmanship while maintaining a reverence for the natural world through stewardship.
The Mississauga-based developer aims to exceed expectations by building modern communities that pay homage to the past while looking towards the future.
Alba is slated for completion by the summer of 2025.
