Graywood continues to add to its growing pipeline of new homes under active construction, with two more groundbreakings in Toronto and Calgary respectively. Executives were on hand in Toronto to kick off construction of The Goode, one of the final opportunities in the historic Distillery District. One week earlier, executives joined the team on the ground in Calgary, along the banks of the Bow River, to mark construction of First & Park.

A 32-storey, mixed-use building fronting onto Parliament Street, the Goode offers residents access to one-of-a kind shops, galleries and artisanal markets that have come to define the distillery. The building is also poised to take advantage of the transformations taking place within the surrounding community. It is within walking distance of the ongoing Port Lands redevelopment, which introduces 25 hectares of new parks, green spaces, naturalized river, and a new island to the east end. In addition, the proposed Ontario Line, the largest single expansion of Toronto’s subway, will connect residents to 15.6 km of new subway service in Toronto, including a new stop in Corktown, less than a 5 min walk from the site.
Helmed by the renowned Toronto firm architects Alliance, the design takes its cues from the material palette that has come to define the Distillery, while still creating an opportunity for a unique visual identity. Masonry is used alongside glass and metal, with repetitive metal bands framing the windows on every other floor of the tower, breaking up the massing and getting more granular with height, alongside a pattern of windows that adds elements of playfulness and texture to the exterior.
First & Park
First and Park is an 18 storey condominium steps away from the iconic Peace Bridge and Bow River in the sought-after Eau Claire neighborhood in Calgary. The boutique development offers a mix of 211 units ranging from junior one-bedrooms to three-bedroom penthouse suites, with single level garden suites of the main floor and two-story townhome units at grade.
The name First and Park is an ode to New York City’s prestigious Park Avenue, as Eau Claire is one of Calgary’s most premier destinations, and one of the last opportunities to buy into Calgary’s River front.
