Reuters compiled a series of photographs showcasing six absurd architecture projects from around the world. While we enjoy all the examples, we were particularly taken with this hotel in Amsterdam that was constructed to look like 70 Zaanse houses stacked together.
The 12-storey Inntel Hotel was designed by WAM Architects and is situated in the centre of Zaandam, Holland.
According to the World Buildings Directory, the hotel is “built of cement based stone sidings with a wood structure, a reference to the traditional, rich ‘Zaanse’ timber construction method.” A waterfall can be found on building’s north side.
