The Rockport Group held their public opening for Twenty One Clairtrell [map] last Saturday and introduced the use of iPads in their sales centre.
This is great news, and even though we could all see the use of such mobile devices as iPads as a sales tool coming, it’s great to see it finally happening!
The renderings and floorplans of Twenty One Clairtrell were put on the iPad and sales associates used it when talking about the project with prospects that came into the sales office.
The potential purchasers were invited to take the iPad home during their rescission period to review the details about the development and if their deal went firm, they were permitted to keep it.
The Rockport Group would then give them the gift receipt to ensure that they would receive the benefit of all the warranties and services from the Apple Store.
For those that decided not to purchase at Twenty One Clairtrell, they were asked to return the iPad to the presentation centre or if they chose to keep it, to reimburse The Rockport Group for its cost.
We hear that the concept was a resounding hit and will no doubt be seeing more and more similar initiatives over the coming months.
So we’re giving The Rockport Group two thumps up for adopting new technology as a sales tool and setting the bar for ditching the hard copy sales brochures (which we wrote about here).
Developers everywhere – welcome to the new information age!
