Brick-modern Tribeca condo project Franklin Place by ODA Architecture has officially launched sales, with the full official site going live.
Available residences at the 20-story, 53-unit development by El Ad Group range from a 812-square-foot studio asking $950,000 to a 2,924-square-foot four-bedroom asking $7.5 million. The interiors at the property, located at 5 Franklin Place, were done by Andres Escobar & Associates. Apartments have 5-inch plank oak hardwood floors, marble bathrooms and open chef kitchens with Poggenpohl cabinetry, Sub-Zero refrigerator and Bosch appliances.
The official site mostly lets the jaw-unhinging renderings do the talking, with the exception of these soundbites from ODA principal Eran Chen:
“If you want to live in Tribeca, and you want the intimate quality of life that the history of it provides, but also have the advantages of new construction, this is probably the only option you have… It’s very rare to find the custom-brick detailing concept in a contemporary building.”
And get ready for some seriously roomy interiors. “The whole effort in the project was to try to create a sense of volume,” Escobar said. “It’s what I would expect if I was a Tribeca buyer.” The penthouses will boast double-height ceilings, reaching 18 to 20 feet tall in the living spaces.
Plus, there are cobblestones! The building’s courtyard runs along Franklin Place, the historically quaint cobblestone alley that lends the project its name. Renderings below — we’re not sure if double-height ceilings count as “intimate,” but we’d like to snuggle up to these places all the same:
