A new 10-story mixed-use building could be rising at 22-22 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, near MoMA PS1.
We saw plans filed June 10th for a 182-unit project designed by ODA Architecture. The building will include bike storage, a library, pool, gym, lounge, communal rooftop rec space, enclosed parking and private terraces. The developer is Jeff Gershon. There will be 118,563 square feet of residential space and 5,723 square feet of retail. The site, which faces the graffiti-ed up 5Pointz warehouse, traded for $16.5 million in January, according to public documents.
Back in March, we discovered the below mystery rendering posted on Facebook by ODA Principal Eran Chen, who described the (mystery) project as across from MoMA PS1, located at 22-25 Jackson Avenue. Could this proposed 10-story building at 22-22 Jackson Avenue be the boxy delight of our render dreams?
