A new four-story building is coming out to play on a triangle-shaped corner lot at 83 Bushwick Place in East Williamsburg.
Located between Johnson Avenue and Boerum Street, the building will be designed by Aufgang Architects and have 20 apartments, according to a plan exam application filed October 9th. There will be parking, three private terraces on the top floor and a recreation area on the roof.
Ariel Aufgang was tapped by Danforth Development Partners to design the major redevelopment of the Victoria Theater on 125th Street in Harlem, The New York Observer reported. The 300,000-square-foot, $143 million project will be two 26-story towers — a 210-room hotel and a 230-unit apartment building — above the century-old theater. Aufgang also restored the theater’s classic 1917 terra cotta facade and lobby, complete with the original fountain, marquee, grand staircase, paint colors and lighting.
The lot at 83 Bushwick is way vacant, though, so Aufgang won’t have to do much restoring there. Here’s a side view:
