The massive turnout at the VIP broker preview event for Harmony Village Sheppard in Scarborough was yet another indication of the growing need for more senior-oriented communities throughout the country.
Crowds of agents poured into the large presentation centre yesterday afternoon to learn more about the master-planned community that caters to today’s Boomer and Zoomer generation.
After sampling hors d’oeuvres and scanning the scale model, attendees quieted as Jack Pong, President and CEO of City Core Developments, took the stage. “There isn’t any other development that I know of that has anywhere near the type of services that we will be providing,” he said to the crowd.
Thanks to the collaboration between City Core Developments and Fortress Real Developments, Harmony Village will offer residents a long-list of amenities that encourage independent living and an active lifestyle. For starters, the indoor amenity space will span 35,000 square feet and will house a large fitness centre, relaxing salt water pool, tea room, cooking classroom and dance studio — the list goes on. There will also be a serene outdoor terrace and a Medical and Rehabilitation Centre with an on-site pharmacy.
“I believe that we can sustain the services throughout the development without adding any additional costs to the condominium buyers themselves,” said Pong.
