Red Hook waterfront project 160 Imlay is launching sales January 1st, according to the freshly released official site.
The six-story, 70-unit conversion of the former New York Dock Building will be designed by AA Studio (née Adjmi & Andreoli). There will be commercial space on the ground floors, as well as parking, storage, a gym and a roof deck.
Los Angeles-based Est4te Four bought the building for about $25 million in 2012. The developer is targeting local artists looking for affordable digs, DNAinfo reported. “We want to mix the world of fashion, art, music,” Est4te Four partner Massimiliano Senise told DNAinfo. “I’m going to market the place as a space for creative people.”
Construction will take an estimated 18 to 24 months. TOWN Residential is handling sales at the property.
