Permits have come in for Ekstein Development‘s 25-19 43rd Avenue in Long Island City.
The nine-story, 86-unit residential project will rise 99 feet, with GF55 Partners as the architect of record, according to the plan exam application filed yesterday. The building on the corner of 43rd Avenue and 27th Street will measure about 68,145 square feet, with parking for 17 cars, bicycle storage and a resident lounge.
The apartments will be condos, with sales starting in 2015, according to the official site of Ekstein.
The development will rise on four combined lots. Ekstein spent about $13.349 million total to acquire the four parcels from separate owners in December 2013, according to public records. The new residences will replace a commercial building at 25-19 43rd Avenue, a two-family building at 42-68 27th Street, a three-family building at 25-09 43rd Avenue and a one-family dwelling at 25-07 43rd Avenue.
The developer filed demolition permits for the existing structures in February; crews began teardown work in early March, LIC Court Square reported.
