A new clutch of four-story buildings is springing on Devoe Street and Metropolitan Avenue in East Williamsburg.
The proposed development, located on the block between Olive Street and Bushwick Avenue, would consist of four seven-unit buildings, for a total of 28 apartments. The 47-foot-tall structures will be on 251 Devoe Street, 253 Devoe Street, 878 Metropolitan Avenue and 880 Metropolitan Avenue, according to permits filed today.
The developer is Howard Beach-based TAHOE Development, and the architect of record is John D. Calcagnile.
The block-through development will be built on two adjacent tax lots, which TAHOE acquired for $2.5 million in December 2013, according to public records. The developer filed demolition permits last month for the existing one-story and two-story warehouses on the site.
