A new eight-story, 12-unit building is coming to a vacant lot at 44 East 132nd Street in East Harlem.
Located between Park and Madison avenues, the project will have 2,280 square feet of community facility space and 10,551 square feet of residential space, according to the plan exam application filed last week. The architect of record is C3D Architecture.
Rising 80 feet, the building will have storage, outdoor recreational space and full-floor apartments on the seventh and eighth levels. The developer is LGS Partners LLC, which acquired the empty lot in January for $200,000, according to public records.
The development is on the same block as two Gene Kaufman-designed projects, also planned for vacant lots. 51 East 131st Street will sprout a six-story, 12-unit building, while 48 East 132nd will be home to a seven-story, 19-unit structure. 1916 Partners is developing those residences.
