BKSK Architects’ design for NoHo condo project 688 Broadway won rave reviews from the Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2012, Curbed reported.
Now, the new terracotta and brick facade building is one landmarked step closer to construction.
The 12-story, 13-unit project will have 3,970 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor, according to a plan exam application filed February 6th. Floors two through five will have two units each, while levels six through 10 will contain full-floor apartments. Madison Realty Capital is the developer, according to the permit.
The building features terracotta panels or “fins,” which will be tilted in different directions to catch the light.
The site between East 4th and Great Jones streets, currently an empty lot, has been home to the NoHo flea market for decades, DNAinfo reported.
