A Murray Hill hardware store at 698 Second Avenue is being converted into a mixed-use development.
The four-story, six-unit project designed by Issac & Stern Architects will have retail on the ground floor, according to this permit filed July 12th.
Located between East 37th and East 38th streets, the original four-story commercial building was home to Lumber Boys. The 4,356-square-foot property sold in June for $2.75 million, according to the site for Ariel Property Advisors, which marketed the lot. The site’s zoning allowed for 16,800 total buildable square feet.
