A ten-unit, six-story mixed-use building is headed for 738 Grand Street in Williamsburg.
The project, designed by S3 Architecture, will have one- and two-bedroom condos, according to the architect’s site. The top floors will be occupied by duplex apartments with double-height spaces, while the building design will incorporate brick, painted steel beams and metal siding. Also, every condo will have a balcony and/or a roof terrace.
Permits were filed on March 26th for a new building with 1,500 square feet of commercial and 9,003 square feet of residential space.
Aptsandlofts.com marketed the site in 2012 as “a 2,300-square-foot stunning loft atmosphere featuring 12-foot ceilings, polished concrete floors, exposed brick, natural light and access to the roof.” Guess the new-development apple doesn’t fall far from the, uh, brick-and-metal tree.
