So we all know indoor slides are a fun alternative to the tired elevator and staircase, but how about a false rock wall to travel between floors?
This nine-level parkade in the Dutch province of Utrecht has two climbing walls that stretch up along its side.
What traditionally are very unsightly structures, the parking garage has slopped floors, open levels, a bike shelter and central atrium. The garage design comes from KCAP Architects & Planners and studioSK and is part of the University of Utrecht.
Of course, what’s the most attractive thing about slapping a climbing wall on the side of a parkade? Take it away, Gizmodo:
If we must have ugly parking garages, then let’s at least make them useful to people who don’t necessarily use them.
We couldn’t have said it any better ourselves. So we didn’t.
