Crews are forging ahead on the construction of The Pendry Residences West Hollywood. The hotel-condo hybrid is situated on a prime lot along the Sunset Strip, a stone’s throw from the legendary Roxy Theater.
Much of the exterior work has been completed since we last visited the site in May. The hotel’s signage and seven-story LED billboard are now illuminated, new palm trees have been planted along Sunset Boulevard, and gold-colored, vertical fins are visible on the southern facade. Street-level scaffolding remains in place, although the sidewalk is now open for pedestrian use.
The condominium portion of The Pendry is visible in the background of the image above. While the luxury hotel will contain 149 guest rooms and 37 suites, The Residences will boast a limited collection of 40 modern homes encompassing 2,900 to 6,000 square feet.
Each residence comes with private elevator access, designer-selected finishes and materials, and a sprawling outdoor terrace. Select homes boast up to 3,400 square feet of private outdoor space, complete with fire pits, swimming pools, spas and outdoor kitchens (as per plan).
Developed by Combined Properties and Aecom Capital, in partnership with Montage Hotels & Resorts, residents of The Pendry will benefit from exclusive concierge services and the hotel’s extensive amenity offerings, including a rooftop pool, four restaurants, seven bars, a live entertainment and performance venue, onsite spa and private social club.
Residents will also enjoy access to owner-only amenities, like a rooftop pool deck, wine tasting room, garden deck, private fitness center, board room, owner’s lounge with an honor bar, and dedicated elevators.
According to a recent New York Times article, a handful of homes have already sold and the development is “open for letters of intent on a limited inventory release.” Additional units will be released this winter and completion of The Residences is scheduled for early 2021. Pricing will range from $3 million up to $30 million for the bespoke penthouse unit.
