A seven-story structure is taking shape near the evolving intersection of Hollywood and Western. The wood framing has reached its peak at 5750 Hollywood Boulevard and a tower crane is also in place.
The Wood Partners development, officially known as Alta Ink, will feature 161 apartments, including 14 affordable units and five live/work units, 5,700 square feet of commercial space, and parking for 271 vehicles and 96 bicycles.

There will be studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floorplans, some with private balconies or terraces. The interiors will come in light or dark color schemes inspired by the black and white films of classical Hollywood cinema.
Residents will enjoy access to more than 18,000 square feet of curated indoor and outdoor amenities, such as a pool and spa courtyard, sky terrace with sweeping views of the Hollywood Sign, conference suite, library, barbecue deck, and a fitness center with a yoga studio.
Conceived by architecture firm Carrier Johnson + CULTURE, the project’s design “provide[s] visual references to Hollywood’s filmmaking heritage” through its innovative mix of materials. According to the project website, the facade is intended to “evoke the image of a projector in a darkened theater.”
Alta Ink is only steps away from the Hollywood/Western subway station and everyday conveniences like grocery stores, bank branches and coffee shops. Walk to exceptional eateries in Thai Town, cozy cocktail bars along Hollywood Boulevard, or trailheads that lead to Griffith Observatory.
Leasing was expected to begin this fall, but construction on the project has faced several delays.
