A peek inside NY2 Condos’ amenity space and two new model suites

It has only been a year since the site for NY2 Condos was fully excavated, and now the seven-storey residential development is nearly complete.

We visited the boutique condo building earlier this week, located at Rean Drive and Sheppard Avenue East, to view the (almost) finished interior and tour a few of the smartly-designed model suites.

For those who need a bit of a refresher, NY2 is the newest and final addition to The Daniels Corporation’s master-planned community, NY Towers. The new glass-clad condominium will act as an entrance point to the neighbourhood thanks to its distinct design and top-notch amenities.

This brightly-lit space will soon become a stylish cafe, which is an extension of the building’s lobby. Residents can sip on a latte while chatting with their neighbours, or spend time catching up on work and browsing the Internet. The condo will also feature its own ground floor retail space.

Residents will also have access to a modern and professionally-designed fitness room. And just think: with less people in the building than a typical high-rise, the more likely it is that you’ll find a free machine.

It won’t be long before this open-concept space is outfitted with contemporary furniture, a sleek catering kitchen and lounge area with a large-screen TV. The party room is located on the seventh floor and leads to the outdoor terrace, which will soon be complete with gardening plots and a barbecue area with lounge seating.

Considering NY2 is directly across from the upscale Bayview Village Shopping Centre, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more convenient location. Grab groceries at Pusateri’s or Loblaws before browsing the luxury clothing boutiques and other specialty shops.

 Though the residential building is only seven storeys tall, the view is just as eye-catching as the ones in other high-rise buildings.

Welcome to model suite numero one, also known as “The Tribeca” layout. The one-bedroom suite is 506 square feet, and boasts a balcony and open-concept kitchen area.

 This is The Tribeca kitchen, which is well-equipped with high-end appliances and is designed to offer residents plenty of space.

For comparison sake, here is an alternative kitchen style with crisp white cabinets. This kitchen is displayed in “The Carlyle”, a 525 square foot, one-bedroom plus media room suite that boasts a spacious balcony and even has a walk-in closet.

Prices for available suites start in the low $200,000s and suites range in size from 372 to 836 square feet.
