We’re taking a trip south of the border today to check out the famous mushroom home of suburban Rochester.
The house was built in 1971 and is comprised of five interconnected pods situated on a hill at the tree line. And the good news for fungus fanatics out there is the house is currently on the market for a cool $1.1 million.
Need to know more before you call up the realtor? The mushroom marvel contains 4,000 square feet of living space and sits on 1.2 acres of land. It’s equipped with all the amenities one would expect in a non-mushroom house — laundry, glass fire place, central air and so forth.
The only problem is we can’t decide what type of mushroom this house resembles most. At first we were thinking Portobello, but now we’re leaning toward shiitake. Let’s have a look at a few more pics and figure this one out:
