The Modern by SJP Residential is bringing the luxury building boom to Fort Lee.
The 47-story, 450-unit rental at 800 Park Avenue, which started leasing last month, rises 496 feet (800 feet above the Hudson River), making it the tallest building in the borough. It’s also the first tower to open in a 16-acre redevelopment area that will eventually encompass a second, identical Modern building and Hudson Lights, a mixed-use project by the Tucker Development Corporation, Ares Management and the Kushner Real Estate Group.
Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, The Modern has studio to three-bedroom apartments, with unobstructed views of the Hudson, the Manhattan skyline and northern New Jersey. Pricing starts at $2,150 per month for one-bedrooms and $3,365 per month for two-bedrooms.
Interiors have sound-proof floor-to-ceiling windows for panoramic views, open floor plans, oak hardwood floors, walk-in closets, in-unit washer/dryer and stone bathrooms. The apartments are fitted with energy efficient heating and cooling systems, with remote thermostat controls.
The glass tower features 75,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a 24/7 doorman and concierge, gym with yoga/pilates studio, spa lounge with sauna and massage services, WiFi lounge, golf simulator, screening room, infinity pool, lawn area with outdoor movie theater and fire pit, 10 barbecue grill stations with community and private dining, multipurpose outdoor sports court, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, covered dog run with pet spa and private garage parking.
