The Nest Condos breaks ground in Toronto’s Hillcrest Village

It’s official! The Rockport Group has broken ground on the highly anticipated The Nest Condos in Toronto’s Hillcrest Village neighbourhood.

Braving the brisk weather, a large crowd assembled at the St. Clair Avenue West site on Saturday to celebrate the groundbreaking with delicious catering by The Roast, a local butcher, along with a caricature artist and a new brilliant mural courtesy of William Lazos and Michael Davis which was created during the event.

Ward 21 city councillor Joe Mihevc was on the scene and spoke to the crowd about the evolving neighbourhood and how receptive to community input The Rockport Group had been through the planning process.

Daniel Winberg, The Rockport Group‘s principal, also addressed the crowd before the soil was turned, thanking The Nest‘s architect Roland Rom Colthoff of RAW Design, II by IV for the stunning interior designs and the community for welcoming the project to the neighbourhood.

And it’s official! Ground has been broken on The Nest Condos.

The nine-storey condo development will feature 122 units, priced from $259,900. Models are available in one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, two bedroom, two bedroom plus den designs. Three one-storey penthouses are also on the market.
