Thanks to exclusive data from Zonda Home, Livabl is sharing the top 10 builders in Dallas–Fort Worth, and Arlington. There are plenty of options throughout the Metroplex and these 10 builders share nearly 56 percent of the market.
1. D.R. Horton
2022 closings: 8,688
2022 market share: 19.5 percent
With more than double the market share of their closet competitor, D.R. Horton is a significant player in Big D. Given their history, it makes sense — D.R. Horton was founded in Fort Worth in 1978.
D.R. has delivered nearly a million homes to buyers since its inception and is active in 45 out of the top 50 markets in the country.
Some of D.R. Horton’s Texas offerings include Los Altos, a single-family community located at 3322 Conroe Street in Dallas. Sizes for these homes range from 1,546 to 2,221 square feet.
In Arlington, you’ll find Rockingham Estates at 7503 Longbow Lane. This is another single-family community made up of 143 homes. There are floor plans with three, four and five bedrooms, depending on the model.
As for Fort Worth, check out Northstar at 3069 Northstar Parkway. This is a master-planned community with homes ranging from 1,659 to 2,463 square feet. Buyers can explore Kings Ridge in the quiet community of Denton. The city of Denton is about 40 minutes northwest of Fort Worth and can be easily accessed via the 35-W.
Kings Ridge offers single-family and NextGen homes — the NextGen line by Lennar features homes with a private suite and separate entry, making it a great option for multigenerational living.
If you want to be located directly in Fort Worth, check out Northpointe. Arcadia Trails is located minutes from amenities such as Valley Creek Park, Mesquite Championship Rodeo, Devil’s Bowl Speedway and Lake Ray Hubbard. The community will feature a pool, pool house, and a playground, plus several city parks around Mesquite and Balch Springs.
If you’d like to live in Fort Worth, Copper Creek is a great option. This community is in north Fort Worth at 8724 Landergin Mesa Drive. It’s the perfect spot to live for commuters, with quick access to Loop 820, I-35W and Highway 287.
