A new and highly-anticipated Toronto condo tower with unique architecture is coming soon to the city’s midtown Deer Park neighbourhood.
One Delisle, a 44-storey condo tower lauded for its distinct design by the renowned Studio Gang, will bring 383 new condos to Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue West. No firm launch date has been revealed for the project, but it’s expected before the end of spring as per the latest information available on BuzzBuzzHome.
According to application documents submitted to city planners in March, One Delisle has “recently incorporated 15 Delisle Ave into the subject lands,” prompting newly updated architectural drawings.
Spanning approximately 43,378 square feet of gross floor area, the tower, developed by Slate Asset Management, would deliver new retail space, offices, condos and a host of luxurious amenities.
Future residents who are looking to unwind can pay a visit to One Delisle’s eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna or the Himalayan salt room, which sounds like a similar concept to the salt room that’s in the works at The Saint. One Delisle is also expected to include a fitness centre, a ravine terrace, a dedicated kid’s room and a cocktail lounge, according to BuzzBuzzHome listing data.
The breakdown of the 383 condo residences would include 12 bachelor suites, 223 one-bedroom, 109 two-bedroom and 39 three-bedroom units, as per the application’s project data sheet. While construction has not yet started on One Delisle, completion is anticipated for summer 2026.
The award-winning, Chicago-based Studio Gang is known for their design work on MIRA in San Francisco and 11 Hoyt in Brooklyn, New York.
Jeanne Gang, the founding principal and partner of Studio Gang, spoke with The Globe and Mail earlier this month and shared design details about One Delisle. The tower’s series of large and small balconies will create a similar effect as the sightlines on Gang’s Aqua building in Chicago, which will allow neighbours to mingle with one another and thereby encourage more social spaces within the building. The “tapering, artichoke-like” tower was inspired by organic shapes.
“Well, I’m a huge fan of the patterns you can find in nature and there’s always a logic to it,” Gang told The Globe.
“Both an artichoke and a pine cone – and a sunflower for that matter – there’s a spiraling organization of the seeds, the petals…it’s nature solving a packing problem,” she added.
According to information on the development listing page on BuzzBuzzHome, pre-launch sales for One Delisle are anticipated to start from the low-$900,000s to over $2.1 million.
