New details about a purpose-built rental project in the city’s west end are now available on developer TAS’ recently revamped company website.
The Toronto-based developer shared further insights about an ongoing rental project at 3803 Dundas Street West, just west of Scarlett Road and Dundas Street West.
The project will include 297 apartments, with 12 four-bedroom units designed for co-living and roommates included in the mix, along with 63 affordable suites and 45 accessible apartments.
“We have challenged ourselves to maximize impact by setting a bold new precedent for a community-focused hub,” reads the project page description on TAS’s website.
Creative spaces, micro-retail and restaurants are said to be in the mix of commercial tenants that will occupy the building’s ground floor. Designed by SvN Architects and Planners, the 13-storey project was inspired by its location near the Humber River Valley Ravine, an area that exhibits “unique landscaping, balconies that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor space” in addition to improved public spaces.
The project is currently in the application phase. According to the City of Toronto’s development application portal, the site plan approval and rezoning application was originally submitted in December 2012. A Site Plan Control Application resubmission was provided in December 2019, in addition to architectural plans and studies.
TAS expects the project to be completed in 2024.
The developer is behind a number of other Toronto condominium and rental projects, including The Keeley Condos and 299 Campbell Avenue Apartments.
In the neighbourhood, rentals are currently available at Kingsway Village Square, while registration is open at Kingsway Crescent.
