The Delmar, developed by All Year Management, has started leasing its 199 rental units. The building is located on 28th Street in the booming Long Island City neighborhood in Queens.
Designed by Karl Fischer Architect and Meshberg Group, The Delmar’s brick facade with over-sized floor-to-ceiling windows retains the industrial look of 18th-century Long Island City with a touch of modern flair.
Units range in size from studios and one- to two-bedrooms with open-floor plans.
Some of The Delmar’s amenities include a rooftop deck, a resident’s garden, and a fully-equipped fitness center. The building also houses a laundry room, as well as a large conference room. The Delmar also features a resident’s lounge.
Unit come equipped with a video intercom system for security and privacy. The building also features on-site parking as well as bike storage and a general storage area.
Long Island City’s easy access to mass transit and Manhattan have made it a desirable NYC neighborhood. Development has ramped up in the area during the last several years, with several luxury residences and rentals coming to the market.
Yet, even with the impending L-train shutdown looming over the heads of many Brooklynites, Long Island City still remains relatively affordable — the average rent for a one-bedroom is $2,110, well below the $3,270 asking rent in Manhattan and cheaper than the $2,647 asking rent in Brooklyn.
Pricing at The Delmar starts at $2,150 and goes up to $3,700.
