Positives: The staff at GableCraft really care
Show moreComments: We couldn't be happier with our home built by GableCraft Homes at Royal Bay. The entire team from the Sales through to Construction to Service and Warranty were extremely helpful and caring towards building our home in the most challenging of times during the Covid pandemic.
Having lived here now for the past year, we recently had our one year service and warranty review and we were very please to see the items noted were addressed in a timely fashion.
We love living in Royal Bay with our three dogs and take advantage of the numerous trails and parks within the area.
Looking forward to the Commons area where we will soon have a grocery store, Quality Foods, as well as a number of amentias to take advantage of.Show less
Positives: Show moreNegatives: Refusal to accomodate accesible parkingComments: I have a baby on the way and Gablecraft has absolutely refused to help me change titles to an accesible stall in which I can safely get my infant in and out of the vehicle.Show less
Positives: Bridgeland is an excellent community
Show moreNegatives: Poor quality materials and workmanship (exc. tilework); too regular loss of services: water; electric; elevatorComments: Purchased condo Bridgeland Crossings I pre-construction in 2013. Cannot recommend this developer, who were difficult to deal with from the start, or this development, due to all the issues with condo's construction and services. Show less

Positives: Show moreComments: We purchased a condo by Gablecraft in Calgary in summer of 2016. A major leak occurred due to a burst pipe within 4 months of possession affecting multiple units and floors. A different pipe in the same unit leaked a second time while the restoration was underway. We are very very disappointed by the fact that something like this is even possible to happen. The damages are going to be fixed. However, the stress we have been going through will not be fixed. We have lost trust in the integrity and quality of the building and the developer.Show less

Positives: nice home
Show moreNegatives: sales rep cheated usComments: Buyer Beware!
The Gablecraft sales team will mislead you to make a sale. We were lied to by their sales rep at The Timbers in Calgary, and were essentially cheated out of $6000 - the amount we should have got for the HST/GST home rebate. Their customer service then gave us the runaround and brushed us off. Be diligent in your dealings with this company.Show less

Positives: Show moreNegatives: Our unit on Crescentview drive has just flooded due to builder putting a drain in laundry room that dumped onto living room celling causing 10's of thousands of dollars of damage. Comments: GableCraft homes sales agent said we had a floor drain in our second floor laundry room for our protection in case the wash machine over flowed or had a leak. When we had a flood caused by the wash machine overflowing .. the floor drain was not connected and flooded the main floor. Half of the town-homes here have had the same drain connected to the storm drain a breach of the building code and a health issue … They ignored building code and have put the strata at risk of legal action as storm drain goes into a local fish bearing creek. Worst of all owners will have to comply with building code and have these illegal drains capped off. Our bathroom exhausts vented directly into our attic as did our neighbours.
Our paint is of such a poor quality it comes off when you attempt to wash a mark on the walls. We have a breaker pop when we turn on the bathroom lights and use a hair dryer .. Electrician says developer chose wrong lighting fixtures and draws to much power. Show less
