Positives: Show moreNegatives: Constant exposure to secondhand smoke and unprofessional managementComments: Although claiming to be a smoke-free building, since I've moved in 5 months ago I've been exposed to secondhand smoke from an adjacent neighbor, causing me breathing problems. The smoke travels into my unit and it's the same as if I were living with a smoker.
I reported the incidents many times and I've been very patient and understanding, but management has been handling the issue very poorly, avoiding any possible way to deal with the situation and has been messing me around for the past 5 months, even though they've accrued plenty of evidence about the recurring incidents through their security staff. Every time I manage to get through someone they tell me a different story, and bring up various laws as excuses to not act on the issue even is the offending tenant is in constant breach of the lease agreement. Rather than dealing with it as they should they proposed me to move to a smaller unit while charging me even more in rent, as if I were a new tenant. They lack professionality.Show less

Show moreNegatives: Ridiculous fees, rent, attitudes of managersComments: We are on our 6th building manager in a year. The building is brand new. I personally have had 4 problems that needed to be repaired. The fact that things even need to be repaired in a brand new building boggles my mind. The landscaping for spring has not been done despite requests asking for this. When there is a building manager they are rude to certain tenants and god forbid someone has to move out, the fees they are trying to get people to pay is nothing short of extortion. The landscaping they have done is only on the side of the building that faces the condo's and in the back they removed a bunch of grass and replaced it with dirt while the front remains untouched, covered in weeds, and overgrowing. With the amount that is being charged for rent in this building I would expect everything to be taken care of and kept nice. Show less

Show moreNegatives: NoneComments: We visited their presentation centre for Nature’s Walk development. Maria, Krista and Bruce are amazing. They’re very helpful throughout the transaction. Krista was really nice to us and showed us different layouts and gave us different suggestions. Bruce and Maria helped us with the paper work. They were very accommodating when it comes to delays. We had delays with our bank and Krista and Bruce made it easier for us as they’re in contact with the vendor and extended our rescission period several times, which was very appreciated! Show less

Show moreNegatives: Too many cars in the area but this should improve over time with transit improvements.Comments: Currently living in Westlake 1 and have purchased a unit in Westlake Encore next door. We can see construction progress from our window and they seem to be doing a good job.
We love the location for the access to the lake and bike trail, and convenience of having shops on site.Show less
